It's just a big relief to find you liked it so much. It's always weird trying to see inside someone's head...I've done it in the past for people's RPG characters and it's been like 'Oh that's really nice, but not what I had in mind' or whetever.

I'm stunned I managed to nail the face. I played about without several models, eventually based her on Sandra Hess (a very cool and sweet B-movie actress), who I think has the right quantities of 'cuteness' (ugh!) and innocence, but with an underlying strength and attitude.

As far as the offer in your email goes - consider me in. Illustrating cool fiction is something I've been trying to do for years now!

About eight of them are mine, then I downloaded it. After that, well, I do have a few readers and I did post in my journal that it was there. Maybe you are getting some cross contamination.

As for the problems of doing peoples RPG characters, how many of them gave you as much to work with as I did? Based on what I am seeing I am willing to believe that they were either awfully picky or gave descriptions that were not really well thought out. Something else to be considered is that when somebody does a piece of art, they are going to put a little of themself in it. an example would be the tatoo on her arm. I recognize it, I know why it is there, but I had never pictured her with one. But you know what? She has one now because your vision complements mine about perfectly.

RPGS? Well, these folks hadn't written masses of prose to back up their descriptions. Sometimes I got it OK, sometimes they were, yes, picky. Plus this was years before I really cemented my own art style.

Glad you liked the tatt It had to be done, even if you ended up asking me to take it off again!

I also think that, in general, the whole mythology and imagery of BOC is quite appropriate in your universe, and in some of the characters especially. I always imagined songs like 'Flaming Telepaths' or 'Tattoo Vampire' as snapshots from a weird and macabre sci-fi epic.

I'll always put little references to my favourite songs, movies, books or whatever in most things I do, anyway.

Now I want to go read more!
